Race Information


One of the quiet gems of East Bay trail systems is Briones.  Our Briones Crest Trail Run spotlights the best of this substantial park.  Solid climbs are rewarded with ample views, especially of Mt. Diablo and, of course, speedy descents after cresting the peaks.  Well stocked aid stations will keep you fueled until crossing the finish to earn a buffet of cold and hot post race food.

Shirts & Awards



Shirts

All registered runners will receive a Sport-Tek Competitor technical fabric shirt. The lightweight and silky Competitor Tee has a roomy, athletic cut and controls sweat like a champ. Shirts run true to size and feature the following:

3.8-ounce, 100% polyester
Removable tag for comfort and relabeling
Double-needle sleeves and hem

To be guaranteed your shirt size, you must register by October 1, 2012.


Awards

Overall winners of each race distance will receive a medal and an item from the Inside Trail Racing schwag bag.

All ultra-marathon distance finishers will receive a custom, race specific award.

Age-group medals (3 deep) will be awarded in the following categories, for both males and females:
● 29 and under
● 30 – 39
● 40 – 49
● 50 – 59
● 60 and over

At Inside Trail Racing aid stations it’s like an all you can eat buffet, but this is a race, so don’t linger too long! Expect to find variety at our aid stations, including sweet and salty offerings like trail mix, pretzels, cookies, boiled potatoes with salt for dipping, regular soda, water (of course!), elecrolyte drink, PB&J finger sandwiches, gummy bears, salt tablets, you get the idea. There will also be general first aid items but no anti-inflamatory medicine. We strongly encourage you to carry at least one 20oz bottle from which to sip while you enjoy your run.
