    1. Brooks Falls Trail Run @ San Pedro Valley Park
      8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Thanks to all the runners and volunteers for a great day in the wind and rain! You all helped make our inaugural event a special one!

      Race Information

Climb to the 1,900 ft North Peak, take a quick mental snapshot of the ocean views, and then descend like a scared bunny back down and along the Montara Mountain Trail, while Red Tail Hawks spectate from the high branches of the abundant eucalyptus forest. If the water is running, Brooks Falls is a spectacular sight that just may take your mind off the arduous task at hand. Brooks Creek is prevalent in its loud rush of water overriding the sound of your footfalls as you pass. The challenge of distances from 10k to 50k balance the beauty in this sanctuary of San Pedro Valley Park.

      Parking is $6.00.

Sorry, no dogs are allowed in the park or on the trails.

      Race Day Instructions (Oct. 25)

Folsom Lake is a popular destination for campers and boaters, yet also offers lakeside trails that meander around much of the 75 miles of lakeshore. Our Falcon Crest Trail Run utilizes the beautiful trails along the southern (eastern) side of the lake. An out and back course beginning at Folsom Point, the trail winds it’s way east, past Falcon Crest to the turn around at Salmon Falls and then back to the start/finish where you’ll be treated to ample post-race food and camaraderie. Expect the same friendly treatment at our well stocked aid stations every 4-6 miles. Bring the family and make a day of it at this American River fed paradise.

Carpooling is always strongly encouraged. Help us as we move in our “green” commitment!

      Race Information

San Pedro Valley Park is nestled amongst the Santa Cruz Mountain range and the foothills of Pacifica and offers 1,150 acres of coastal mountain environment. As part of the San Mateo County Park system, it is part of 200 years of history that includes the Native American culture and the urban development of San Francisco. Longer distance runners will ascend the 1,900ft. climb of Montara Mountain North Peak and either pause to take a breath and appreciate views of the Farallon Islands and the exterior of Pacifica or turn without much thought outside of enjoying a long downhill trounce. Red Tail Hawks can be found spectating from the high branches of the abundant eucalyptus forest and during the rainy months of winter and spring, Brooks Falls is a spectacular sight as it drops 175 feet in three tiers that just may alleviate the feeling of heavy feet and aching quads. Distances range from 10k-50k, with the 10k being fast and without too much elevation gain. This park is ideal for family and friends who are awaiting their loved ones to finish as there are picnic areas with BBQ pits and plenty of space for a game of Frisbee or volleyball.

      Parking is $6.00

Sorry, no dogs are allowed in the park or on the trails.

      Race Information

Fort Ord was a U.S. Army post on Monterey Bay in California. It was established in 1917 as a maneuver area and field artillery target range and was closed in September 1994. Fort Ord was one of the most attractive locations of any U.S. Army post, because of its proximity to the beach and California weather. The 7th Infantry Division (Light) was its main resident for many years. When Fort Ord was converted to civilian use, space was set aside for the first nature reserve in the United States created for conservation of an insect, the endangered species Smith’s blue butterfly.

While much of the old military buildings and infrastructure remain abandoned, many structures have been torn down for anticipated development. California State University Monterey Bay and Fort Ord Dunes State Park, along with some subdivisions, the Veterans Transition Center, a strip mall, military facilities and a nature preserve occupy the area today.

On April 20, 2012, President Obama signed a proclamation designating a 14,651-acre portion of the former post as the Fort Ord National Monument.

      Race Information

Runners will run on the historic Western States trail, out to No Hands Bridge then tackle one of the toughest climbs in the area, and training grounds for top runners, the dreaded K2 training hill. The 10K will head back to the Finish area along the Olmstead Loop Trail, while the Half and 30K tackle another tough, but fun, section… heading back down to the American River and back up the Auburn-Cool Trail (also known as the “Dam Hill”). The long series of switchbacks will bring you back to the Olmstead Loop, where Half runners will trudge to the finish. The 30K runners will do a bonus loop, traversing meadows, single track, and farmland rolling hills until you reach the finish at the Cool Firehouse.

Carpooling is highly encouraged. Bring some collapsable chairs for yourselves and hang out for a bit post-race.

      Race Information

Folsom Lake is a popular destination for campers and boaters, yet also offers lakeside trails that meander around much of the 75 miles of lake shore. Our Folsom Lake Trail Run utilizes the beautiful trails along the southern (eastern) side of the lake.
